I spotted the new “Our New Additions” billboard at Somerset Mall today, confirming that Mozambik will soon open there. While its doors have now closed at The Sanctuary, it won’t be long before the restaurant is back in business in a more central spot.
On 15 July 2026, the restaurant announced it is currently closed at its existing location. They followed up quickly with an encouraging message that something exciting is in the works and the next chapter will be worth the wait.
A couple of days later they posted a fun competition asking followers to guess the new location, offering a meal voucher as a prize. The post generated plenty of engagement and speculation in the community.
The restaurant will open at Shop F10-F11 on the Ground Floor of Somerset Mall. A prominent billboard at the mall already welcomes Mozambik as one of the new additions, alongside Now Now by Woolworths, Uniq by Checkers, and Freedom Adventure Park.
Moving to Somerset Mall places Mozambik in one of the Helderberg’s busiest shopping destinations, offering customers convenient parking, easy access and plenty of passing foot traffic.
