I’ve been noticing a few new services opening around the Helderberg lately, and this is another practical addition for the community. Having healthcare facilities close to home always makes routine appointments a little easier, especially when you don’t have to travel far for something as common as a blood test.
PathCare officially opened its new Patient Centre on 1 July 2026 at 36 Gordons Bay Road (26 Theron Crescent). According to the company’s announcement, the facility offers professional pathology services in a comfortable environment and is equipped to perform blood tests for everything from routine check-ups to more specific medical screenings.
One of the first things I look for with healthcare services is whether they’re accessible outside the standard working day. The new centre is open Monday to Friday from 08:00 to 17:00, as well as Saturdays from 08:00 to 13:00, making it a useful option for those who can’t always make appointments during the week.
Having another trusted pathology provider in Strand is a welcome addition to the area and another practical service that makes everyday healthcare just a little more convenient for the local community.
