Coffee Station has opened on Main Road in Somerset West, offering artisanal drive-thru coffee, indoor and outdoor seating, and a relaxed, dog-friendly garden setting.
Coffee lovers in Somerset West have a new stop to add to their daily routine. Coffee Station @ SV has opened at 186 Main Road, offering a combination of artisanal coffee, a convenient drive-thru and a relaxed garden setting for those who prefer to stay a little longer.
The family-run café officially opened in February 2022 and is owned by husband-and-wife team Brian and Bronwyn Jordan, who relocated to Cape Town from Pietermaritzburg in search of a new adventure.
A Family Dream Brought to Life
Opening a coffee shop had long been one of Bronwyn’s dreams. During the COVID-19 pandemic, the couple were inspired by a friend’s drive-thru coffee concept and decided to create something similar in Somerset West.
The result is a distinctive container-style coffee shop that combines the convenience of a drive-thru with the atmosphere of a neighbourhood café. Customers can grab a coffee on the go or settle into the indoor seating or garden area, which has become part of the café’s relaxed appeal.
Coffee Station is also dog-friendly, making it a popular stop for customers enjoying a walk with their four-legged companions or simply looking for a quiet place to unwind over a cup of coffee.
More Than Just Coffee
Alongside its coffee menu, Coffee Station also supports a number of local producers by stocking a selection of artisanal products in-store. Visitors can browse treats from The Treat Company, preserves and jams from Heerlijk, as well as locally produced honey from Blom, making it easy to pick up something to enjoy at home or give as a gift.
Whether you’re meeting a friend for a catch-up, taking a break during the workday or looking for a peaceful spot to work remotely, the café offers a welcoming setting away from the rush of the day.
A Different Kind of Coffee Stop
Drive-thru coffee shops have become increasingly popular over the past few years, but it’s still relatively uncommon to find one that also encourages people to slow down and stay awhile. Coffee Station has managed to combine both ideas in one space, creating a café that’s as convenient for a quick morning coffee as it is for a leisurely afternoon in the garden.
