Panarottis at Somerset West Mall has reopened after its revamp, introducing a refreshed interior, a larger kids’ play area and new menu items.
If you’ve visited Somerset West Mall recently, you may have noticed that Panarottis looks a little different. Following a short revamp, the popular family restaurant has reopened with a refreshed interior, a larger children’s play area and a few new additions to the menu.
The changes were first announced in mid-February, when the restaurant shared that it would be undergoing an exciting makeover and thanked customers for their patience while the work was completed. Just a week later, the team announced that the revamp was finished and that they were ready to welcome diners back.
A Fresh Look for a Familiar Favourite
Located at Shop 331 on the Ground Floor near Entrance 4, the restaurant occupies one of the busiest parts of Somerset West Mall. It’s the entrance many shoppers use when heading to Checkers, Spur or Dis-Chem, making Panarottis a familiar landmark for regular visitors. It’s certainly the entrance my family uses most often, so watching the transformation unfold over those few days made the reopening even more noticeable.
The update goes beyond a simple cosmetic refresh. The restaurant now has a brighter, more contemporary look while keeping the relaxed, family-friendly atmosphere that Panarottis has long been known for.
One of the most noticeable improvements is the larger children’s play area, giving younger visitors more space to play while parents enjoy a meal. It’s a welcome addition for many Helderberg families who regularly spend time at the mall.
New Menu Additions
The changes aren’t limited to the restaurant itself. Panarottis has also introduced new Breakfast Bagels, adding another option for customers looking to stop in for a morning meal.
