AtWellness Beauty has moved from Gants Plaza in Strand to 93 Main Road in Somerset West, with a more serene space, an expanded massage offering and new packages.
AtWellness Beauty has moved to 93 Main Road, Hole in the Wall, Somerset West, marking a change of location for the beauty and wellness business after operating from Gants Plaza in Strand.
The move caught my attention because it is more than simply a change of address. The business says the new Somerset West premises were chosen to create a more welcoming and accessible experience for clients, while also giving it room to develop the space further.
I reached out to AtWellness Beauty to find out more about the move and what has changed for clients.
Why the move to Somerset West?
According to AtWellness Beauty, the decision to leave Gants Plaza was partly driven by the experience of the previous location. The Strand premises had more of an industrial feel, while clients could also find the location difficult to find.
The new address on Main Road offers a different setting, with a space that feels more peaceful and welcoming. There is also a serene courtyard, which adds to the experience from the moment clients arrive.
A few changes to the treatment menu
Existing clients can still expect most of the treatments they were familiar with at the Strand location, including facials, massages, manicures and pedicures.
There have been some changes, however.
AtWellness Beauty has removed waxing from its menu because of limited demand, while expanding its massage offering. The business has also introduced combo packages and gift vouchers.
There are further upgrades planned for the space as the business continues to develop the new premises.
More than beauty treatments
One aspect of AtWellness Beauty that I found particularly interesting is its involvement in developing young people entering the industry.
The business provides work-integrated learning opportunities for final-year Somatology students, while also offering complementary skills training through its youth development programme.
These initiatives will continue at the Somerset West location.
The team says supporting and developing young people remains an important part of what it does, alongside its beauty and wellness services.
A personal approach
For people who have not visited AtWellness Beauty before, the business says its biggest point of difference is the personal relationship it develops with clients.
Rather than treating each visit as simply another appointment, the team says it aims to get to know its clients and create an environment where they feel comfortable and cared for.
That extends beyond the treatment itself, with the intention being for clients to leave feeling relaxed and refreshed.
What’s next for AtWellness Beauty?
The move to Somerset West marks a new chapter for AtWellness Beauty, with the business now settling into a space that better reflects the kind of experience it wants to offer its clients.
There are already plans to continue developing the premises, although the details have yet to be announced. For now, the focus is on growing into the new space while continuing to build on the relationships that have been central to the business.
What stood out to me about the move is that it feels less like a simple relocation and more like a chance for AtWellness Beauty to create an environment that suits its approach. The quieter setting, the courtyard and the more personal atmosphere all contribute to that feeling.
It will be interesting to see how the space develops as the business settles in and those plans begin to take shape.
