Good Knight Beds has opened a new store at The Interchange in Firgrove Rural, Somerset West, offering factory-direct beds, mattresses and bedroom furniture.
The South African bedding retailer welcomed its first customers in late May 2026, bringing its factory-direct range of beds, mattresses and bedroom furniture to one of the Helderberg’s fastest-growing commercial precincts. Located at 2 Dynagel Road, next to Decofurn, the new showroom adds another home and lifestyle destination for residents in Somerset West, Strand and the surrounding areas.
Expanding into One of Somerset West’s Fastest-Growing Retail Hubs
Over the past few years, Firgrove Rural has transformed into one of the Helderberg’s busiest retail corridors, with developments such as The Sanctuary Shopping Centre, Somerset Mall and The Interchange continuing to attract both national retailers and independent businesses.
The arrival of Good Knight Beds is another sign of that ongoing growth, giving shoppers another option when looking for everything from everyday mattresses to premium bed sets, all available directly from the manufacturer. The company says its factory-direct model allows it to offer locally manufactured products while removing the middleman from the buying process.
Another Welcome Addition for Local Shoppers
One thing I’ve always appreciated about living in Somerset West is that you rarely have to travel far for the essentials anymore.
When we moved here four years ago, we bought most of our bedding from Dial-a-Bed. Then, we decided to upgrade the bed in our guest bedroom, and we ordered a Kooi Hospitality double bed from The Mattress Warehouse. I haven’t had a chance to pop into Good Knight Beds yet, but it’s great to see another specialist bedding retailer opening locally.
When the time comes to upgrade our current bedroom setup, I’ll definitely be stopping in to have a look at what they have to offer.
